First Time Leading Out Charobix

It was a busy week for me. I've been working so hard these past few days and had no time with other stuff. I got a text message from a friend and a co-officer of the health organization that I am a part of. He told me that we will have a pictorial including other officers of the Health Action Team to be placed in tarpaulin. Hmmm... sounds exciting. There must be an upcoming program. I was not able to attend the previous meetings since because of the conflicts from my work schedule. I went to meet the team in the studio and we had fun with our photo session. hehehe. After that, we went to meet the health director for the final briefing. I found that there will be a celebration of World Non-Tobacco Week. I just knew that I was chosen to lead out the Charobix in People's Park as part of the opening program aside from the fun run. Even if I wanted to say no, I was not able to since they already plotted the schedule and the committee heads. Being a committed individual in the organization, I accepted the challenge. It will be a good venue to expose my talent(hahaha).

Charobix is a simple exercise for all walks of life. It is for both young and old. It is composed of 4 parts. The first part mainly involves the lower extremities. The second part requires arm movements. The third and the fourth parts are more complicated than the first two since these need coordinated movements and challenging combinations.

Certainly, everyone had fun as Mai (my charobix buddy) and I led out the exercise. Almost all easily followed the steps and looked forward for another charobix round. lol. Though I was not able to sleep well the night before the task, I feel happy how people responded. It was such a fulfilling day that many participated not only to the exercise but as well as celebrating the World-Non Tobacco Day as being promoted by the city government. I just like the thought that I am contributing in the promotion of health of the community.

First Thing in the Morning

Hey guys! You might be wondering what is the main photo all about. As you can see, it was taken along the beach. It's quite dark because it is an against-the-light picture. If you take a closer look on the left side of the photo, you would see two people there. Guess who are they? It's Chili and Pepper!

A friend of my mother who owns a beach gave us passes to have a free overnight stay in two villas. Pepper stayed alone in one villa while my family and I stayed in the other. I went to check Pepper in the morning and asked him if he wants to walk along with me. Though he was still sleepy, he was forced to join me. hehehe. While we were walking, we saw some shells on the sand and Pepper took some as his souvenir from the Philippine beaches. I was helping him to find unique-looking shells. While we were doing that, we didn't know that my older brother was taking photos of us.

Later that day as I was browsing the shots in the digi-cam, I saw this photo. I noticed how romantic to see the two of us looking keenly on something with that calm and lovely background. According to Pepper, it looks like he was proposing to me and was putting a ring on my finger.
Oh wow! I think that is great!

Thanks to my bro... Excellent job!

First Chronograph Watch Owned

I received a birthday surprise from Pepper, my hunny bunny. Though it's a month late already but it's his thoughtfulness that counts. He is so sweet.

Pepper's gift is a watch. I like it very much. Though it's not the first time that I've got a watch as a birthday present but it's my first time to get and own a chronograph watch. It's so interesting how this watch works and what are the features. Pepper told me that it has multiple functions yet he cannot tell me exactly what are those. The watch has 3 dials that caught my attention as to how these 3 works. It took me minutes to read the instructions. The more I read about it, the more I wonder who are exactly the ones using it. Well anyway, I understood some of its uses based from my reading. First, it has a 24 hour dial. Meaning, you will not be guessing whether it is A.M. or P.M. That's how I thought the 24 hour feature helps. (lol) One of the dials allows the watch to be placed either in chronograph or time mode. Once in chronograph mode, it will serve as a stopwatch without interfering the original time. Last but not the least, the third dial is for the second. Basically, that's what I know about chronograph watch.Such an interesting and useful piece huh? What do you think?

First Few Days Back At Work

It's been a month already when I started working again. Gone are the boring days when I was just at home waiting when the day will be over. I have a hectic schedule right now. I know it's busy working in the dialysis unit. Being a returnee worker in my job, I have to chit-chat with my patients that I've just met again after almost a year of staying home. All of them still remember me. Some already lost their eye sight, yet they were still able to recognize my voice. It hurts to know that some are deteriorating but I am glad for those who stay at their optimum level of health. I've also met new clients that I've never seen before, I'm still establishing rapport with them and making friends not only to the patients but as well as with their SOs. It's really a great opportunity to be with my clients again. I consider them as my friends. My heart tells me that this is what I wanted to do. I love taking care of people and I am so comfortable doing it. I needed just little adjustment to be able to be always on the go. I got easily tired during the first week of working. After a week of reorienting myself to the unit, I regained my skills and speed. That was awesome, since all I thought I will start from the very beginning of being clueless.

I've also met new co-workers and most of them are fun to be with, not to mention that we went island hopping with the whole unit staff. That was really cool!!! The outing also helped me adjusted easily wit
h the people around including the trainees. In addition,
I found out that I'm learning new things each day even I was working before. There are new styles and techniques in dealing both the client and the machine that were just being implemented in the unit.

Indeed, my first few days back to work are wonderful times to be reoriented not only to my main career but continuing and building friendship with nice people.
